4 Uploading and activating an advanced sequence

Predefined sequences can be used when you want to use the same transmission sequence under different conditions and/or locations. The advanced sequences must be loaded and activate before they can be executed.

Prerequisites

An advanced sequence must have been created and stored previously.

Context

Caution

You must never set the EK80 system to "ping" unless the transducer is submerged in water. Most transducers are damaged beyond repair if they transmit in open air. Prevent inadvertent use of the EK80 system whenever a transducer is not submerged.

Procedure

Open the Operation menu.

Set Operation to Advanced Sequencing.

The EK80 system is now ready for use.

Open Select Sequence to select a sequence.

The advanced sequence is now ready to use.

Set Ping to On.

The Ping function enables or disables the transmissions into the water. Ping Mode and Ping Interval parameters are defined in the advanced sequence.

Result

Your advanced sequence has been activated.
