Prerequisites
Velocity measurement calibration data must be collected and stored before processing and updating calibration values.
Context
The Calibration Wizard offers 3 dialog boxes to guide you through the calibration process.

The first page in the Calibration Wizard allows you to either start a new calibration process, or return to a previous calibration process reusing saved data. |

The second page in the Calibration Wizard allows you to select the channel to be calibrated. |

The third page in the Calibration Wizard allows you to import the calibration data into the calibration process. The calibration data recorded are processed consecutively. When the processing is finished, you can save the results, and update the calibration data used by the EK80. |
Procedure

Process the velocity measurements calibration data.

On the Setup menu, select Calibration.

On the first page of the wizard, select New calibration from raw data (Real time or Replay). |

Select Next to continue. |

On the second page of the wizard: |

Select channel for calibration.
NoteBe sure to select the ADCP channel you would like to calibrate. The drop-down list includes calibration options for normal echo sounder function and for ADCP function for the transducer.

Select Next to continue. |

On the third page of the wizard:
Select which replay files to process calibration from.
The location and name of the files following the suggested naming convention will make it easier to find the appropriate files.
The velocity measurements used in the calibration process are stored consecutively in raw data files during the calibration
survey. You select all the raw files from a previous survey in the L1 option on this page. All files must be loaded in the field marked Line 1.

Select Start.
A progress bar becomes visible in the dialog box during processing. It disappears when the processing is finished.
The calibration values which are calculated are Scale, Yaw, Pitch and Roll. You are not updating the EK80 calibration values at this stage.

Finalize the calibration process.

Select Save.
The calibration data is now saved and you will proceed to the next step.
You are not updating the EK80 calibration values at this stage.

Select Finish.
The calibration values will be updated when you proceed this procedure.
The calibration values will be displayed in Numerical information pane.

Select Yes. The EK80 calibration values are updated.

Close the Calibration Wizard dialog box, and resume normal operation. |
