1 Checking and/or editing the transceiver parameters

The Normal Operation dialog box lists all the transmission parameters. The dialog box provides one row for each channel in use. You can change the parameters.

Prerequisites

This procedure assumes that the EK80 system is turned on and operates normally. The Normal Operation dialog box is only available when the EK80 system operates in Normal mode.

Procedure

On the Operation menu, open the Normal Operation dialog box.

For each channel:

Set Pulse Type to a LFM or CW mode as permitted by your license and the transducer.

Set Mode to Active.

Set Pulse Duration to your chosen value.

Set Power to the correct power level for the transducer.

Set Start Frequency and End Frequency to values permitted by your license and the transducer.

In this context, the term channel is used as a common term to identify the combination of transceiver, transducer and operating frequency.

Close the dialog box.
